Mark Armstrong Bio & Photo

Mark Armstrong is the Senior Adult Program Specialist for Helen Keller National Center. His work focuses on seniors, age 55 and older who have combined vision and hearing loss. He facilitates the Confident Living Program, offered twice a year at the Helen Keller National Training Center in Sands Point, NY, and On-the-Road throughout the United States. Mark is a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT). He served as the Georgia AER President from 2014-2016 and is current serving as Secretary for AER National Aging Division 2018-2020. Mark is also a member of ACVREP Subject Matter Expert Committee in VRT, 2018-2020. Mark is retired from the Marine Corps and served in “The Commandant’s Own,” The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. He resides in Augusta, Georgia and has been married 30 years to his wife Kay.
