Jamie moved with her family to Pennsylvania where she received vision rehabilitation through CBVI in Chester. Jamie added the VRT certification from Salus to her Master’s in Special Education and did her fieldwork at Helen Keller in Brooklyn. After receiving her first Guide Dog, Frenchie, in 2013, she and her family moved back to Marietta. Jamie completed her internship and worked at Vision Rehabilitation Services of Georgia until 2018. Currently, Jamie works with her husband, Michael and is an independent contractor providing VRT, Assistive Technology, and consulting to the VA, iCanConnect, and the Visually Impaired Foundation of Georgia. Their two big kids, Kayla (24), and Joshua (19) have inherited Retinitis Pigmentosa and a good sense of humor.
