Registered Nurse Educators at Vanda work to raise awareness of Non-24-Hour Sleep-Wake Disorder (Non-24), a circadian rhythm disorder that occurs when the body clock becomes out of sync with the 24-hour day-night cycle resulting in sleep and wake disturbances. Non-24 is not a new disorder. Its prevalence is high in the blindness community but awareness of it is low. Clinical studies estimate that up to 70% of people who are totally blind have Non-24 and may not even know it.
